Give us a brief introduction to your organisation and the role it plays in the radio sector
2wcom Systems develops professional broadcast solutions for the contribution, distribution and monitoring of radio services. Our products cover DAB+, FM and IP-based audio workflows, ranging from head-end and transmitter-site equipment to software-based solutions. A strong focus is on reliable, flexible IP distribution and on helping broadcasters operate and monitor their networks efficiently.
What DAB+ products or services are you showcasing at IBC2026?
Many of our solutions are designed to be open, interoperable and format-agnostic, so they can be used across different broadcast workflows. MoIN supports multi-platform audio encoding across DAB, FM and streaming environments, nettwark provides centralized fleet management, for example across DAB transmitter networks, and eyera enables service monitoring across distributed broadcast infrastructures.
But we are also highlighting DAB-specific developments at IBC2026:
Our DAB ASA Monitoring Receiver monitors and logs Automatic Safety Alert (ASA) signalling. It can also monitor national or supra-regional ensembles for ASA messages and trigger Other Ensemble (OE) alerts in regional or local ensembles, supporting distributed alerting architectures.
Our DAB EDI Decoder, available in hardware and software, decodes EDI streams from the DAB head-end and makes the contained audio available for further use. In eyera, this allows the content of a DAB ensemble to be made available for monitoring, giving operators direct insight into the services carried in the ensemble.
What are you most looking forward to at IBC2026?
IBC is always a great opportunity to meet broadcasters, network operators and technology partners from different markets in one place. I am particularly looking forward to discussing how DAB+ networks are evolving – from more flexible IP-based distribution to new requirements around monitoring and ASA.
What’s your best tip for a first-time visitor to IBC and/or Amsterdam?
Plan your must-see meetings in advance, but leave enough time for unexpected conversations. Some of the most useful discussions at IBC happen when you stop at a stand you had not originally planned to visit.
