AGCOM: proceedings have been launched to determine the fees for the right to use DAB frequencies

By Resolution No. 244/26/CONS of 21 October 2026, published on the Authority’s website on 30 October 2026, AGCOM initiated proceedings to define the criteria for determining the fees payable by national and local network operators holding rights to use frequencies for the DAB digital audio broadcasting service. This procedure, which must be concluded within 180 days of the publication of the AGCOM resolution, concerns the fees that will be due at the end of the five-year exemption period provided for in Article 50, paragraph 11-bis, of the TUSMA, which expires on 4 August 2027.
