On November 15, the full transition from DAB to DAB+ took place in Switzerland. Tthere are plans to gradually reduce the FM distribution from 2020, this process should be completed in 2024. Figures from earlier this year show that more than half of the listening time in Switzerland spent digitally.

Blaupunkt is launching a range of new products at the Essen Motor Show including a range of DAB+ products. The Bremen 955 is an Android-based flagship DAB+ model featuring a 7-inch touchscreen display, an integrated CAN bus interface for steering wheel connection, and a modern, unobtrusive design.

RAS (Rundfunk-Anstalt Südtirol) has announced it wishes to begin the digital switchover in South Tyrol in Italy by the end of 2017. The province currently has three DAB+ multiplexes.
