Announcement of the 12 radio services selected for Luxembourg DAB+ broadcasting
On 26 February 2025 the Media, Connectivity and Digital Policy Department (SMC) of the Ministry of State launched a public call for applications for sound radio services to be broadcast on DAB+. Following an evaluation process of the applications received, and based on the opinion of the Luxembourg Independent Audiovisual Authority (ALIA), twelve radio services have been selected to join the first national multiplex. The operator's licence to broadcast via DAB+ and to set up and manage a first multiplex was awarded to Broadcasting Center Europe SA on 3 June 2025. In accordance with the specifications, broadcasting must begin no later than six months after the award of the licence.
