· Give us a brief introduction to your organisation and the role it plays in the radio sector.
ALDENA is an Italian company with more than 45 years of experience in designing and manufacturing transmitting antennas and RF solutions for broadcasting and professional communications. We support broadcasters and network operators worldwide in developing and upgrading their DAB+, FM and digital TV transmission infrastructure.
Together with DELTA MECCANICA, a wholly owned subsidiary of ALDENA, we combine our antenna expertise with an extensive portfolio of passive RF components, including filters, combiners and coaxial transmission lines. Our offering also includes EMLAB planning software and engineering services, supporting customers from network design through to practical implementation.
· What DAB+ products or services are you showcasing at IBC2026?
At IBC2026, we are showcasing our DAB+ antenna systems, including dipole, Yagi, directional log-periodic and panel solutions, with radiation patterns tailored to each project’s requirements. Alongside these, DELTA’s DAB+ portfolio includes standalone filters, star-point and CIB combiners, designed for low insertion loss, high selectivity and temperature stability.
A key highlight this year is our new partnership with ASCEND Cable, establishing ALDENA as its European distribution and warehouse hub for professional RF coaxial cables and accessories. The portfolio includes foam and air-dielectric coaxial cables, backed by European stock availability, direct technical support and local after-sales assistance.
Visitors can also explore EMLAB, our software platform for antenna system design and DAB+ network planning.
Together, these solutions reflect our focus on the complete RF transmission infrastructure: from network planning to the selection and integration of the components that deliver the signal.
· What are you most looking forward to at IBC2026?
For me, the most valuable part of IBC is the opportunity to discuss real projects face to face: where coverage needs to improve, how existing sites can be upgraded, how network planning can work together to support reliable and efficient DAB+ networks.
· What’s your best tip for a first-time visitor to IBC and/or Amsterdam?
Plan your key meetings in advance, but save some time and energy to enjoy Amsterdam itself. An evening walk along the canals, followed by dinner with colleagues or new contacts, is a great way to round off a busy day at the exhibition.
