Almost 3% of the audience listens to DAB digital radio in Bavaria, corresponding to 322.000 listeners aged 10 plus. Altogether 5,8% of the listeners tune in DAB Bayern at least once a week. Around 10% of the population of Bavaria are equipped with a digital radio gadget, at home or in the car.

BLM, the Bavarian commercial regulator has awarded a DAB licence to Kultradio.fm station for broadcast in Bavaria on Band III, Block 12D. The licence expires on 31 October 2019.

In the UK, the national DAB multiplexes use single-frequency-networks (SFN) and so as you drive from say, London to Bristol, listening to BBC Radio 4, you need do nothing with your radio, since the multiplex transmitters are designed to provide coverage in a contiguous fashion along the way.
