Norwegian national FM networks continue shutdowns

On 21 June, NRK will shut down FM in Aust-Agder, Vest-Agder, Rogaland, Hordaland and Sogn og Fjordane. P4 and Radio Norway will continue on FM in those same counties until 15 September 2017. By the end of 2017, NRK, P4 and Radio Norway will disappear from the FM band across Norway.

All presenters disappear from Thames Radio

Thames Radio is converting itself to a non-stop music station, as management tells all presenters not to record any more shows. The service is unique in that it doesn’t have actual studios in London, instead allowing its presenters to record/VT programmes in their own facilities and upload them to the station’s servers in Wales. According to the latest RAJAR, Thames Radio has 4,000 weekly listeners.
