The first chamber of the Leipzig Administrative Court rejected the application from DABP GmbH. "In the interests of the rapid development of the second national DAB+ platform and thus the further positive development of digital radio in Germany, we are looking forward to the early allocation of the platform license," said a spokesman for Antenne Deutschland GmbH.

In the first half of the year, sales of digital radios were growing at a tremendous rate throughout Europe. Consistently double-digit growth rates in an analysis in nine different countries indicate a regular boom. On average, it was a 30 percent growth from January to July.

Digital radio continues to generate great interest in Switzerland. Thanks to the influence DAB+, 57 percent of radio broadcasts are now consumed in a digital form. At the end of June 2017, 3.25 million DAB+ devices were in circulation, many more new vehicles are being equipped and the level of awareness of DAB+ shows a positive trend.
