Radioplayer is launching a new smart radio feed for connected cars, with the Audi/VW group the first manufacturer to sign up. The partnership will see hybrid radios in new Audi models using the Radioplayer technology to display station logos, and switch automatically between DAB, FM, and streaming.

Radioplayer, the joint platform of radio stations in Germany and active in seven other countries, is launching a new service for the automotive industry. The app offers up-to-date logos, now-playing information, personalised recommendations, search results and podcasts from the Radioplayer via an interface specifically for Connected Cars, the WRAPI (Worldwide Radioplayer API *). The technology supports hybrid switching between FM, DAB + and IP streaming. The first user of the international service is AUDI AG.
