NOVA Entertainment's Coles Radio again has more listeners than any other commercial DAB+ station according to the GfK DAB+ Digital Radio Report released today. Coles Radio has 181,000 listeners across four cities, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide.

Several European countries are revisiting their long-term plans for broadcasting, including potential digital switching (DSO) scenarios. In Europe and in 2017, Norway is the first country to operate a "DSO". Switzerland is preparing for a "DSO" between 2020 and 2024.

At a meeting of the Association of the German Association of Private Broadcasting and Telemedia Service (VPRT), the Department of Radio and Audio Services in the Association of Private Broadcasting and Telemedia Service (VPRT) unanimously adopted and presented the requirements for a transition to digital terrestrial radio coverage. In the "four-point plan", the association is committed to supporting the digital transition to DAB+ if it is designed to be fair and to the economic needs of the private radio.

WorldDAB and the European Broadcasting Union announced during IFA in Berlin their support for the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) Euro standard, which has been agreed as the minimum specification for DAB digital radio receivers across Europe.
