Digital radio listening is expected to grow to 70% by 2023 in the Netherlands, according to findings by Digital Radio NL. In 2019, the government will auction a frequency channel so that around 9 to 15 additional DAB + stations can be broadcast nationwide throughout the Netherlands. The announcement comes as the Netherlands celebrates "The Week of Digital Radio" this week.
