Ukraine

Four stations have been confirmed as winners of the latest round of DAB+ tenders in the Ukraine. Army FM, and three stations of the Business Radio Group, Business Radio, DJ FM and Power FM were the winners of the round of tenders announced by the National Council of Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine (NRADA) on 5 April.

Germany

Bavarian broadcasting authority Bavarian State Center for New Media (BLM) has approved the launch of DAB+ services for regional station Radio Schwabmünchen from 1 August in the DAB+ supply area 9C.

WorldDAB has created a new Working Group, focused on the performance and user experience of aftermarket devices for DAB+ in the car. The Aftermarket Devices Working Group brings together broadcasters, device and antenna manufacturers, plus experts from the automotive industry, in an important collaboration for digital radio in the car.

Belgium

The Flemish and Walloon regions of Belgium have reached a series of agreements on conflicts that existed over radio frequencies in Belgium. The two provinces had been at odds for years but the introduction of a new frequency plan for Flanders in April to ready the region’s radio landscape for DAB+ seems to have brought Flanders and Wallonia closer together.
