Myanmar National Broadcaster, MRTV continue the DAB+ pilot project they started in August 2016.
Myanmar Radio and TV, (MRTV) launched a public tender for a DAB+ trial in 2016, which was won by the Hong Kong based system integrator BTL. Paneda provided DAB head-end equipment and support. The trial started with one transmitter in the largest city Yangon. After the trial is complete the project will be evaluated it’s planned to be expanded with more services and additional transmitters in the main cities.
The complete system with encoder, multiplexer, management system as well as data content is delivered as an allin-one system using the Paneda 1U hardware system.
