The regional government in Navarra, Spain, has advertised capacity for six DAB services on a future ensemble for the region, designated FU-Nav. Simultaneously, the government has advertised a total of 72 DAB licences across 12 ensembles, each of which will have local coverage.
dB Digital is calling for broadcasters looking to expand their brands through DAB+ to register their interest for a place on Ireland’s first commercial DAB+ multiplex. Interested parties should submit their applications no later than Friday 14th February 2020.
Austria's major broadcasting bodies and associations have joined forces to petition for the introduction of regulation mandating DAB+ digital radio in all receivers sold in Austria - both in and out cars. The new regulation would also be in line with the EECC directive, which mandates digital radio in new cars across the EU by the end of 2020.
