The number of new cars in the Netherlands that come with a DAB+ radio has risen sharply in 2015. Over 16% of new cars that appeared on the road were equipped with a receiver for digital radio. This is an increase from just 6% in 2014.

The aims of the campaign are to raise awareness, encourage listening and increase the number of radio stations broadcast via DAB+ in households and in vehicles. The award decision is expected in November 2016 and the campaign will begin no later than early 2017.

Belgium , Monaco

The WorldDAB Automotive 2016 event took place on 11 May in Brussels and more than 150 people attended. The main message coming from the event was the need to accelerate the integration of DAB+ in vehicles. WorldDAB was also present at Medpi in Monaco, sharing a stand with Pure. This provided the opportunity to share key information with players in distribution and specialised press and discuss the continued deployment of digital radio through France.
