Switzerland: Republica wins advertising account for DAB+
Republica has won the DAB+ campaign in Switzerland, which is planned by OFCOM. The campaign has a budget of 4 million Euros and is intended primarily to increase awareness and use of the new DAB+ as well as to promote sales of DAB+ compliant devices.

Day of digital radio in Czech Republic
RTI, Radioservis, Czech Radio and Digital Radio Czech are hosting a day devoted to digital radio. The event aims to educate visitors about the benefits of DAB+, the DAB+ receivers currently on the market and the first mobile phone with DAB+. The event will be taking place on 8 November.

Digital radio is increasing in cars across Europe
More than 1.7 million new cars with DAB as standard took to the road in Europe in the first half of 2016. Germany, Denmark, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, the United Kingdom and Switzerland recorded a large increase in the number of new cars with a DAB+ receiver. In September 2016, 86% of new vehicles are equipped with DAB+ in the UK.

In-car DAB radio adoption is up across Europe
Figures released recently show that DAB adoption in the car is growing in key markets across Europe — with over 1.7 million new cars sold with DAB in the first half of 2016 (compared to 2.7 million for the whole of 2015). Across eight countries surveyed, 31% of new cars now come with DAB as standard equipment — with all eight markets showing an increase in adoption rates compared to 2015.
