The RAS has converted all its digital radio stations in South Tyrol from DAB to DAB+ and launched the new DAB+ station DRadio Wissen. RAS Director Georg Plattner noted that coverage now reaches 99.3% of the population in South Tyrol providing crystal clear listening pleasure at home and on the road with digital radio DAB+.

The company TT Micro, which nearly went out of business in 2015, predicts 2017 will be an exceptional year due to the transition to DAB. The company owns the brand Tiny Audio, and offers products specifically for the Norwegian market—namely DAB adapters for cars.

The Radiocommunications Agency (AT) has recently issued several new licenses for local trials with DAB+. Currently, there are already local DAB+ trials engaged in Vlagtwedde (East Groningen) Groenlo (Gelderlander) Emmeloord (Flevoland) and Vlaardingen (Zuid-Holland).
