Germany

Until recently, there was a clear geographic split in Germany in terms of DAB+ radio. This changed last September, when RSH, the most popular station in the state of Schleswig-Holstein, started broadcasting via DAB+ in the Hamburg region. Today, with the regional public broadcaster NDR, and the national public and commercial stations, a total of 32 radio stations can be received in Hamburg via DAB+.

Rai Radio Kids is to be Italy's first radio channel devoted entirely to children aged between 2 and 10 years old. The channel will be available from 12 June 2017 on DAB digital radio, across internet and satellite platforms.

WorldDAB has announced the line-up for its DAB+ workshop, taking place at the start of RadioAsia 2017 in Bangkok. With Thailand recently announcing plans to launch digital radio in 2018, the programme includes key speakers from the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC). The workshop takes place from 09:00-12:30 on April the 26th.
