Since 1 October, the call for interest of the NRW State Institute for Media (LfM NRW) has been running to determine interest in DAB+ in North Rhine-Westphalia. The call for interest runs until 29 October, by which time radio broadcasters can submit their requests via an online form to the Medienanstalt.

The decision by French national broadcaster NRJ Group to join the DAB+ call for Bordeaux and Toulouse is being mooted as a precursor for other stations in the country for other broadcasters and stations to grow further momentum for DAB+ rollouts across France.

Russian Federation

DAB+ will receive band allocations for digital radio broadcasting in Russia, after the decision by the country’s State Commission for Radio Frequencies (SCRF) to allocate also frequencies to DRM. SCRF has confirmed that individual broadcasters will ultimately decide which digital radio standard to use based on the suitability for their regions.
