The Conseil supérieur de l'audiovisuel has published in its official journal the list of 40 radio stations that have applied for licences on the national DAB+ multiplex in France. The next step will be the selection process, taking place over the coming weeks.

The Conseil supérieur de l'audiovisuel has announced that over 20% of the French population is now covered with DAB+, meaning manufacturers will be required to equip all radio receivers with a DAB+ chip in the next 18 months.

DAB+ services were officially launched in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes on 13 December in a ceremony attended by CSA president Nicolas Curien, with 46 radio stations available in DAB+ in the region.
