Digital Radio NL has launched a new advertising campaign for the promotion of DAB+ in the Netherlands. The slogan of the new campaign, which includes a TV commercial featuring famous DJs, is "DAB +, the new sound of radio".

Schleswig-Holstein, the northern German state that borders with Denmark, has launched a call for tenders as it prepares for the upcoming launch of DAB+ in the region. The deadline for application is 28 June 2019.

Germany

The Leipzig Administrative Court has overturned the decision to grant Antenne Deutschland with a licence to launch and operate a second national DAB+ multiplex in Germany. The multiplex was originally scheduled to start operating in the fourth quarter of 2019.

Austria

Austria has officially launched its national DAB+ network this week, with nine stations now broadcasting on DAB+ across the country. A regional DAB+ network covering Vienna and the surrounding areas has already been in operation since April 2018.

DAB+ will be launching in the southern French city of Toulon in 2020. Up to 26 stations are expected - a number of which are not available on the FM band - are expected to be available on DAB+ in the region.
