Norway

Measurement of national channels shows an overall positive trend over the last three years, with radio listening continuing to rise. With the challenge from global platforms it remains important for Norway to have strong national and local radio channels. Norwegians spend 90 minutes on radio daily and the medium remains central to people's everyday lives.

Spain

Digital transmissions on DAB waveband, channel 9C, started in Tenerife in December 2019. The transmitter is located on the Teide, the highest active volcano in the Atlantic ocean and also the highest mountain in Spain (3.718 m). In total there are nine programmes transmitted on the multiplex.

The WorldDAB General Assembly 2020 will take place in Prague, Czech Republic on 3-4 November 2020. The event will see over 200 experts from across the broadcast, automotive and receiver manufacturer industries come together to discuss the future of digital radio.

Germany

The Saxon State Institute for Private Broadcasting and New Media and the Digital Audio Broadcasting Platform have been able to resolve their long-standing legal dispute out of court, which finally clears the way for the second national DAB+ DAB+ multiplex. Consumers across Germany will soon benefit from an additional 16 digital radio programs.

Switzerland

At the end of 2019, all tunnels over 300 meters long located across major national roads in Switzerland - approximately 200 tunnels in total - were equipped with DAB+ reception signals.

Croatia

The radio programs of Croatian public broadcaster HRT (Hrvatska Radiotelevizija) can now also be received in large parts of the country via DAB+, marking the first time public radio stations are available on DAB+ in the country.
