Euronews candidate for terrestrial digital radio

Here is an application that will delight the Higher Audiovisual Council (CSA). The international news channel Euronews has decided to become a candidate for a frequency of terrestrial digital radio (DAB) for the cities of Paris, Marseille and Nice. Relaunched in April by the CSA, the call for nominations ends today. Euronews, which broadcasts now in eleven languages is looking to find a natural extension to its original activity - television.

Call for Interest in Austria to DAB +

Beginning with the first June 2012 invited the media authority KommAustria a particular existing and potential radio operators to register their interest in digital terrestrial broadcasting of radio programs and other services in Austria based on the transmission standard DAB +. If the expressions of interest have the expected utilization of at least one multiplex platform for digital radio broadcasting in the DAB + standard in each service area, will make the KommAustria a tender. The needs assessment completed on 2 July 2012.

Digital Radio Sales Top 15 Million

Digital radio sales have now reached a major landmark, according to GfK Retail and Technology, who announced that a total of 15 million digital radios* have been sold in the UK. This follows an upturn in digital radio sales in 2012 with GfK reporting that year on year sales of digital radios were up 8% over the last 3 months and up 11% in April.
