1st DAB+ Automotive Workshop
At the invitation of MCDT, all Swiss auto importers met at the Radiostudio in Zurich on 22 June for a wide-ranging information event on DAB+ digital radio. The workshop took an in-depth look specifically at the changeover from DAB to DAB+, plug-in DAB+ adapters for cars, the service in tunnels, the latest aerial technology, surround-sound and the TPEG travel information system, which is to be launched in Switzerland from 2013 onwards

Six applications for DAB + in NRW
Six companies have applied to the digital terrestrial transmission capacities for national dissemination or distribution of private broadcasting in digital technology (DAB) in North Rhine-Westphalia. Irish language media make a Rí-Rá about going online
Raidió Rí-Rá ( rrr.ie), an Irish-language station which plays chart music for young people, also announced Monday that they would begin to broadcast live on the Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) platform in Dublin and Waterford this Sunday, in Cork and Limerick by the end of 2012 and nationally after that.
