Mercedes-Benz is now offering an update pack to convert DAB to DAB+ car radios. This guarantees best-quality in-car sound, even where digital reception is poor. It is all made possible by the high-performance DAB+ radio tuner, which has been optimised especially for updatable systems in Mercedes-Benz vehicles. The DAB+ upgrade is available for 219 francs

In October, Garmin will begin feeding its navigation systems in Germany with highly accurate real-time traffic information, transmitted free of charge via DAB+. This means that owners of models such as the "3D Traffic Live" will receive bundled information from up to 160 different sources, and can map traffic problems to an accuracy of 100 metres. The new Garmin navigation systems will update this information twice as often as the older models.
