Brentwood community radio station Phoenix FM set to go digital
The Phoenix FM team hopes Brentwood is one of ten pilot areas licensed by radio regulator Ofcom to trial small scale DAB digital radio services. If successful in their application, transmissions could start as soon as this summer.

Norway shows the way to digital radio
As of 2017, analog broadcasting on FM will give way to digital terrestrial radio (RNT) in Norway.

Les Indés Radios asks “When will DAB+ become a reality in France?”
The CSA (regulator) announced in its report submitted on January 21 that it wants to continue the deployment of DAB+ in France in the border areas, where the FM offer is poor. The Indés Radio: “The future of radio is DAB+”
Chairman of The Indés Radio (an association of 128 local radio stations), Jean-Eric Valli says “DAB+ is essential. We welcome the decision by Norway. Internet is not the only way, and we will soon be one of the few countries where a decision on DAB+ has not been taken. It is time that DAB+ is a reality everywhere in France, as is already the case in Europe.”
