SRG will resume broadcasting radio programmes via FM from mid-November

The SRG has reapplied for its former FM frequencies and is resuming analogue broadcasting of its channels. The additional costs arising from the resumption of FM broadcasting must be reconciled with the ongoing cost-saving programme mandated by the Federal Council and currently amount to around 6.5 million Swiss francs per year. In the past, full coverage cost around 15 million Swiss francs per year. Listeners enjoy listening to the radio and are increasingly using digital receivers to do so. Almost nine out of every ten minutes of radio listening now takes place via DAB+ and the internet.
