FM radio frequencies are changing in the Herzogstand area

For listeners within the coverage area of the Herzogstand transmitter, the FM frequencies for five BR radio stations will change from 29 September: Bayern 1, Bayern 2, Bayern 3, BR Klassik and BR24. In future, the BR will broadcast these programmes exclusively via DAB+ from Herzogstand. They can still be received via FM from alternative transmitter sites. The reason for this is the decommissioning of the Herzogstand FM transmitter for economic reasons and to improve energy efficiency in broadcasting.
