New stage for Radio Egida! The signal will be broadcast on DAB+ from Altus in Katowice
Radio Egida is entering a new phase of its activities. From 17 March 2025, the broadcasting station of the University of Silesia in Katowice will start broadcasting in DAB+ technology on channel 10B (211.648 MHz). The signal will be broadcast from a transmitter located on the Altus building in Katowice, which will ensure wide reception coverage in the region. "This is a huge opportunity for our radio station and for students who are embarking on their adventure in journalism. Thanks to DAB+ technology, we will not only gain better sound quality, but will be able to reach a whole new audience. Rest assured, we don't just cover student affairs! We often report on important events from our region. We are happy to be able to continue the tradition in a modern form," emphasises Daniel Zimoch, editor-in-chief of Radio Egida.
