BLM boss Schmiege: The future of radio belongs to DAB+
Media Council of the Bavarian Regulatory Authority for New Media (BLM) President Thorsten Schmiege explains its Audio Strategy 2025 in an interview with Sonntagsblatt. "Bavarian private radio stations will continue to need good and reliable playout channels in the future. And the future here belongs to DAB+... And that is a good thing because, unlike streaming, DAB+ operates according to almost identical rules to FM in terms of advertising marketing.
