WorldDMB has joined with South African Broadcasting Corporation, the National Association of Broadcasters and the Southern African Digital Broadcasting Association to host a DAB+ Digital Radio workshop.The organizations say the event is a response to the announcement that the country will add 18 slots for DAB+ and will be geared to both public and private broadcasters. It will be held July 16 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the SABC M1 Studio in Johannesburg.

Mr. Fisher from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation said that the Netherlands working with Germany, the United Kingdom and Norway could campaign for a European policy on digital radio. Today all the public radio stations are available via digital radio in Randstad, North Holland and Central Netherlands.
