In March 2010, Vietnam's Ministry of Information and Communications published a draft plan for digital radio and television broadcasting.
Broadtech SC, a subsidiary of VTV has had a DMB trial on-air in Hanoi since September 2008. Vietnam is also trialing HD radio.

A DMB trial service has been operating in Hanoi since May 2008.

A DMB trail service has been operating in Hanoi since May 2008. This will run until the end of the year and it is expected that a commercial service will be launched early in 2009.
