The German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) Digital Radio Receiver working group (Digitalradio AG Endgeräte) has finalised a guidance document on visual services on digital radios and invites WorldDMB members to provide feedback.
Click here to download the guidance document. The intention of this document is to propose guidelines on how visual services should be implemented by broadcasters and how they should be processed/displayed on receivers with a focus on in-car reception in particular. Only the representation of visual information is covered within this document and specific functions are not covered. The information incorporated in this document is the result of mutual discussions in the device working group and also test results provided by participants of this group.
This paper is intended to be used as guideline, it is not a specification.
The following documents have also been shared with the group:
Proposed usage of text services on Digital Radios supporting DAB/DAB+/DMB-R
