A patent by the inventors Ryu, Ga-hyun (Suwon-si, KR); Park, Jeong-hoon (Seoul, KR), filed on September 16, 2005, was published online on December 3, 2013. Patent number 8600176 is assigned to Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (Suwon-Si, KR) and relates to a method of detecting errors generated by not processing received data in realtime when receiving a digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB), and more particularly, to a method and apparatus for detecting errors generated by a DMB receiver by not processing received audio/video data in realtime.

Germany

The German winter cross media campaign for digital radio has been launched by Initiative Digitalradio Deutschland. The planners rely on fancy display texts and humorous online spots that illustrate emotions , digital radio and its everyday and future viability. Promotional activities that include advertorials, online banners and so-called webisodes will run throughout the Christmas season into the new year.

Switzerland

The European Broadcasting Union has formed the Strategic Program on Digital Radio Platforms. The group’s chair Javier Sánchez Perez announced a technical recommendation at the Digital Radio Summit in Geneva.

New digital transmitters in Herefordshire and Worcestershire means BBC Hereford & Worcester, Free Radio and Sunshine Radio join the DAB line-up. The new multiplex was officially switched-on this morning.
