Together with its Swiss partner Teletrend AG, Factum has enabled new opportunities for the broadcaster to take a unique position in the Digital Radio market. After delivery and installation of four new multiplexing systems the market now could look forward to a secure operation and new possibilities of control and surveillance. Moreover, the new Factum system is using 90 % less power consumption and is in line with the Digital Radio clients’ environmental ambitions.

Moreover, digital radio is now a reality in Monaco and outside the Principality of Monaco, since the new multiplex is providing a digital radio signal from Antibes to Menton. This marks the beginning of a new era for radio, a few weeks ahead of the official launch of digital radio in France on 20 June 2014.

The government has also announced the build of nearly 400 new DAB transmitters over the next 2 years. This means digital radio will have increased coverage across the UK, bringing DAB digital radio to around 7,000 kilometres of roads.
