UK-based alternative music station Amazing Radio has started broadcasting in Dublin on DAB and DAB.

The station went live at 4.30pm last Thursday. Group Managing Director, Adventure Radio, Mark Jeeves said: "This is a fantastic day for Essex and Adventure Radio. DAB is definitely the way forward for radio listening, offering quality and choice and it is great to now have our Southend and Chelmsford Radio's output being broadcast to a wider audience."

Slovenia's Agency for Post and Electronic Communications has invited all interested parties, especially radio stations, to participate in the public consultation on options for developing terrestrial digital radio. In Slovenia, T-DAB has so far only been allocated for radio frequencies from the Krvavec transmitter on block 12B, used by public broadcaster RTV Slovenija to air its radio stations RA SLO 1, RA SLO 2, RA SLO 3 and Radio Si. The license runs until 12 November.

INFOSAT, an industry magazine reported Media Broadcast will further expand its DAB+ nationwide offering which will begin in Hesse from the 13 June.

The Swiss manufacturer Geneva Lab has announced that the Wireless Model S DAB + is immediately available in Germany and Austria.

Deutschlandradio director Willi Steul sees it as possible to launch a national children's radio station. It could be made possible through cooperation with ARD and the children's channel Kika.

The firm Audioblock now offers radios with DAB+ radio.

The Ford Tourneo Custom 2.2 TDCi now comes with DAB.

The new Range Rover Sport now comes with DAB.

The BMW M135i comes with DAB as standard.
