in2digi Ltd is a UK company developing Aftermarket Digital Radio solutions for the
automotive sector; targeting premier vehicle platforms. The company fundamental quality
objective is for all developed products to deliver an “end-to-end” digital experience (signals
from broadcast radio reception through to audio transmission are processed and delivered
in the digital domain).
The company was formed by the four directors in 2010, who between them have over 100
years of experience in the automotive product arena. Such experience includes robust
hardware development, system software development, automotive systems testing, general
engineering and sales.
The first retail product was launched on 1st October 2012 (D-MB-1) as a flexible hardware
platform for digital radio providing DAB/DAB+ reception capability on vehicles with fibre
optic audio technology utilised by the vehicle infotainment system. This solution provided
an integrated radio system for Mercedes Benz vehicles, spanning a 2004-2008 timescale,
but is now obsolete. An enhanced version (D-MB-2) for newer Mercedes vehicles is the
current in-production module that provides a fully integrated, OEM equivalent, experience
for NTG2.5, NTG3 and NTG4.5 systems.
Additionally, a fully integrated variant (utilising the product common hardware platform) is
released for Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), this being D-JV-2. This product is the only Aftermarket
module accepted by the JLR diagnostic system for new system installations where a vehicle
configuration update is required.
A lower cost product that utilises the vehicle USB interface has latterly been developed, this
being DAB-USB. This is released primarily for JLR vehicles to both support older vehicle
systems and vehicles with InControl system architecture since 2015. Also, this product is
currently in-use on non-premier vehicles and planned to roll out for other, wider market,
