In order to make DAB+ even better known and to promote listening to digital radio, OFCOM Switzerland is launching an information campaign aimed at further increasing the number of DAB+ radio receivers in homes and vehicles. The campaign runs from 2019 to 2022 and the budget of 5.5 million francs will be financed from the reception fee or the new levy for radio and television from 2019 onwards.

The Eclipse Cross includes automatic air conditioning and electronic windows, and the infotainment system includes a 7.0-inch screen, DAB radio and connection with smartphone.

Peli One will initially be available in the two metropolitan regions of Berlin and Hamburg via DAB+, with Hamburg beginning transmission on 18 April, while Berlin's transmission will begin in the summer.

The South African broadcast regulator ICASA has published a discussion paper containing information on digital audio broadcasting services in the country. ICASA expects written proposals from all interested parties on the discussion paper.

The telecom company KPN has now started removing some previously used FM antennae in Mierlo, Megen and Loon op Zand. KPN will continue to provide the Dutch public broadcaster (NPO) with the distribution of radio stations via DAB+.

PELI ONE has launched a test broadcast "Black Music for Adults" from Hamburg since last week, with the broadcast to be aired across Berlin and Hamburg via DAB+.

The Minister of Communications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation, Nikolai Nikiforov, held a meeting on 17 April in Moscow with the State Commission for Radio Frequencies (GKRC) during which the possibility of deploying DAB+ was discussed, where appropriate and dependent on availability of spectrum.
