The Institut für Rundfunktechnik and Bayerische Rundfunk have begun testing components for small-scale DAB in Munich. With small-scale DAB transmission systems for DAB+ can be realised at a comparatively low cost in the low-power range. This technique is suitable for local or temporally limited broadcasting.
