Job Description 

WorldDMB seeks a customer focused and energetic Marketing and Communications Manager for the Asia Pacific Region.  Working within the WorldDMB Project Office team, but based in the Asia Pacific Region, the individual will support the wider project efforts towards achieving the promotion of the Eureka 147 broadcast standards in the region. The main purpose of this role is to coordinate WorldDMB’s marketing and promotion activities in the Asia Pacific Region. Working directly with WorldDMB members and external non-member partners (broadcasters, equipment manufacturers, network providers, regional associations), internal stakeholders (WorldDMB Project Office team), the main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Context
WorldDMB is the network of professionals facilitating the future of digital radio broadcasting based on the Eureka 147 technologies, drawing members from all stakeholder segments and geographies.  It is a global authority on market development and network roll-out, a highly valued ally dedicated to effective digital radio roll-out able to provide leadership and expertise in all areas of digital radio roll-out. 

Active in over 43 countries, WorldDMB unites broadcasters, equipment manufacturers, network providers, software companies, in total more than 80 companies in the digital terrestrial radio broadcasting ecosystem. WorldDMB is focused on facilitating the flow of information between stakeholders leading to promotion of awareness, adoption and implementation of the Eureka 147 standards, working with stakeholder groups to encourage a co-ordinated roll-out of services and acting as a broker of industry knowledge for members, external organizations and the global digital radio community.

WorldDMB is governed by a 25 member steering board, comprising representatives from many of the industry leaders, among them BBC, Radio France, Digital Radio Deutschland, Commercial Radio Australia, Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union, Sony, Frontier Silicon and many more. 

WorldDMB is focused on the development of a range of services which promote the growth of the deployment of the technology; examples include tailored workshops and seminars, conferences, exhibitions, the WorldDMB Annual General Assembly conference. 

WorldDMB is a not for profit organisation but entrepreneurial in culture. Our primary funding is driven through our membership. We are staffed by highly motivated and bright professional staff that is augmented by a range of consultants and partners.

Criteria

 • Enthusiastic marketing communications professional • good presentation and report writing skills • experience in project development and project management • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.  • Experience with business development • Excellent attention to detail and thorough follow through • Creative problem solver with practical, solution focused approach. • Fluent business English, both spoken and written • Proven project and time management experience and delivery, gained in an international company • Event or other industry experience • Knowledge of the radio broadcasting industry desirable but not essential.  Must be able to travel within the Asia Pacific Region and occasionally to Europe, available to work occasional weekend days and onsite during events, flexible on hours.
