This event is being organised by the CTO and hosted by Nigeria’s National Broadcasting Commission.

The annual Digital Broadcasting Africa Forum is a robust discussion based conference held over the past 10 years with broadcasters and key ICT stakeholders from the broadcastindiscussion-basedum will provide an excellent opportunity for participants to learn from each other about successes in the field of digital broadcasting, as well as the challenges posed for the future. Solutions to these challenges and the opportunities available for digital broadcasting will be examined through interactive sessions led by global knowledge leaders. The audience will be composed of policymakers, regulators, broadcasters, content developers, network infrastructure providers, operators, equipment manufacturers and opinion leaders.

This is a key event for stakeholders across Africa, helping them to deal with many aspects of digital switchover, including:

  • Policy and regulatory interventions on digital switchover that protect public interest;
  • Alternative approaches to digital transformation;
  • Country progress reports;
  • Convergence, content evolution and multiple delivery platforms;
  • Financing mechanisms for digital switchover; and
  • Digital migration and spectrum allocation.
